Police hunt for four men after a shooting in Bootle

A man has been shot in the leg in Bootle.

Police say two gunshots were heard inside a house on Kilburn Street on Sunday evening, shortly after four men were seen to enter.

They left in a dark coloured car.

A 29-year-old is being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, which is not believed to be life threatening.

Bullet casings have been recovered from the address on Kilburn Street, which has been cordoned off for forensic examinations.

Police say they believe this was a targeted attack, but the motive is not yet known.
