Man left with 'potentially life-changing' injury during street fight in Wirral

A man has suffered "potentially life-changing" injuries during a fight outside a pub in Wirral.

Police say they were called to reports of a serious assault near to the Woodchurch pub in the early hours of Sunday 14 July.

A man in his 40s had a deep wound to his face - possibly caused by a glass or bottle.

Officers say many people were milling around - some of whom will know where the offender is now.

Detective Inspector Paul Parry is urging those witnesses to come forward directly, or anonymously.
