Fog continues to cause disruption to those flying to and from the Channel Islands with low visibility in the UK meaning some flights are facing delays.

Ports of Jersey confirmed the adverse conditions were affecting flights to London Heathrow and London Gatwick, with flights delayed between one and three hours due to slot time restrictions.

Ports of Jersey also say the delays may cause flights scheduled later in the day to be pushed back but are still advising all passengers to check in for their scheduled flight time. In Guernsey, six inbound flights from London Gatwick have been delayed due to the fog so far today (28 December).

The latest delays follow days of flight disruption over the Christmas period.

At least 21 flights to and from Jersey where cancelled on Christmas Eve, with many others delayed due to fog, with Guernsey also badly affected.

Most flights departing or arriving in Guernsey yesterday (27 December) were cancelled or significantly delayed due to low visibility.
