Passengers warned of potential flight disruptions following Storm Eowyn
Passengers due to fly with the airline Aurigny on Sunday 22 December are being offered the chance to change their flights following forecasts of strong winds.
It comes as Storm Eowyn is expected to cause disruptions to scheduled flights due to predicted high gusts and winds.
However, the airline is offering those booked to travel on Sunday a chance to move to an alternative flight within 7 days of the original scheduled departure, or the opportunity to travel earlier where possible.
The airline says there will be no change fees or fare difference applied but seats are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
A spokesperson for Aurigny says: "Our team have been closely monitoring the forecast to assess the potential impact of Storm Eowyn on our weekend flying programme.
"We are firmly focused on our duty of getting everyone where they need to be, and we plan to operate all flights where weather conditions permit us to operate safely.
"However, if some wish to travel on an alternative date, we hope the extra flexibility offered will provide some increased certainty.
"We understand during the festive period, everyone wants to get to where they need to be."
Customers who choose to travel as planned but a flight is cancelled due to weather will be eligible for a full refund.
