Sure apologises for phone network problems in Guernsey
Sure have apologised to people in Guernsey who experienced issues with their mobile networks this afternoon (2 February).
Earlier today, the mobile provider tweeted they were aware of an issue impacting "calls, data & SMS".
Since then, Sure’s Group CEO Alistair Beak has confirmed that the company "experienced a network outage at 3.55pm on Thursday 2 February which affected all Sure Guernsey broadband and mobile services.
"Landline and 999 services were not affected and were working normally. The outage was the result of a network configuration error and was fully resolved by our engineers at 4.41pm.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the outage."
The provider will conduct a full review of this incident and asks any customers who are still experiencing issues to call 700700.
