Jersey archive opens multi million pound extension

For decades Jersey Archive has meticulously cleaned and preserved 600 years worth of the island's most precious documents.

From a Royal charter from King Charles II to occupation love letters - over 350,000 pieces have been collected in the last 20 years alone. 

Recently, the team realised that they needed more space and got to work building a multi million pound extension.

The building cost £3.5million and it means that the archive will be able to look after even more documents for many generations to come.
