Children design new stamps in Guernsey marking coronavirus outbreak
Two new sets of commemorative stamps, designed by schoolchildren, are to be issued by Guernsey Post to reflect the positive things to come out of the coronavirus pandemic.
Eight stamps, collectively entitled #GuernseyTogether, featuring colourful rainbow designs will go into circulation.
They were created by Kahlan Marriott (Age 5), Olivia Le Tissier, (Age 6), Alexis Drummy (Age 8), Danny King (Age 8), Joe De Carteret (Age 10), Lily-Ella O'Brien (Age 10), Oliver Blake (Age 11) and Phoebe (Age 13).
Continuing the colourful theme, the #AlderneySpirit set features designs by Eli Maurice (Age 7), Grace Chapman (Age 7), Isla Cauvain (Age 7) and Hollie Maurice (Age 9).
Judges from the Guernsey Arts Commission chose the winning designs from more than 200 competition entries. They have now been given royal approval by the Queen.
It is the fourth time in Guernsey Post's 50 year history that children from the Bailiwick have been invited to design stamps

The stamps have now been given royal approval by the Queen and will be available on 19 August from Guernsey Post Offices and from the Philatelic Bureau (Guernsey Stamps).
