The end of home-working? Jersey's government considers move to level one of exit strategy
Jersey's government will discuss the island's move to level one of the Safe Exit Framework next week.
It will mean people can go back into their offices, share a car with those outside their household, and community activities can resume. Large gatherings would continue to be controlled.
The government is working on draft guidelines for gatherings of more than 40 people, which are likely to:
Require organisers to manage safe distancing and hygiene
To enable contact tracing
To limit access to alcohol
To impose tight controls on international attendees
All public events will continue to require Bailiff’s Panel approval.
Plans to enter Level One will encourage people to continue with safe distancing and good hygiene.
Public health measures have been eased in recent weeks seeing travel restrictions lifted, a testing regime established at the ports and physical distancing reduced from two metres to one metre.
Other restrictions that have been lifted mean multiple households can be served at a single table, licensed premises have returned to normal closing times, and pubs can offer a seated service without food .
The government says it will be updated and informed by medical advice from the Scientific and Technical Advisory Cell (STAC).
