Guernsey’s Chief Minister asks islanders to ignore rumours
Guernsey’s top politician, Gavin St Pier, has asked islanders to ignore social media rumours.
Addressing rumours that have spread in recent days, the Chief Minister urged people in Guernsey to only trust reliable sources not ‘garbage posted on Facebook’.
Deputy Heidi Soulsby, the Health President for the island, also asked people to trust them to tell the truth.
As of today, Guernsey has had no new cases of coronavirus for 50 days.
Tomorrow the island will enter Phase Five of lockdown exit, being described as the ‘new normal’, with everything but the border now open.
