Over 200 volunteers sign up with St John Guernsey
Over 200 people have signed up with St John to volunteer and offer support during the coronavirus pandemic.
The organisation is working with the States of Guernsey, charities and businesses to support in delivering essential services.
Some of the volunteers will act as "caring callers" chatting to people on the phone who feel lonely or isolated. If you know of someone who would benefit from the service you can email caring.caller@stjohn.gg.
Others may help deliver groceries and prescriptions or help with general tasks like cooking for care homes.
St John Guernsey recently announced a partnership with the Channel Island Seaweed company.
400 litres of the hand sanitiser made from Guernsey seaweed has been delivered by St John Ambulance to the community in the last week.
