Urgent plea for elderly to stay at home in Jersey
A Jersey doctor is pleading for elderly people to follow one simple instruction - stay at home.
Dr Adrian Noon's urgent call follows several reports of elderly people still leaving their homes and going into places like shops and chemists, despite government advice not to.
Anyone over the age of 65 should be self-isolating, as they fall into the high risk category of contracting coronavirus (Covid-19), alongside those with underlying health conditions.
Instead, they should ask someone else to collect essentials for them.
Everyone else is asked to continue social distancing.
