Jersey’s Government concerned people ignoring self-isolate advice

Jersey’s Chief Minister has said he is ‘disturbed’ to hear people are ignoring self-isolation advice.

The Emergencies Council met today to discuss the island’s handling of the coronavirus epidemic.

The Emergencies Council also heard from Dr Ivan Muscat, the Deputy Medical Officer of Health, who explained measures that could reduce the demand on Jersey hospital.

The meeting also discussed the potential closure of schools and business support.

Announcements are expected in the coming days.
