Countess of Wessex cancels Jersey visit due to coronavirus
The Countess of Wessex has cancelled her trip to Jersey this month due to coronavirus.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex had planned to come to the island on Tuesday 24 March to learn more about the work being done by local charities.
The decision follows further measures to try and stop the spread of the virus
The Countess is the NSPCC's Royal Patron and wanted to see their Jersey base to learn more about their efforts to support children.

The Countess had also planned to visit the charity Eyecan, which supports islanders who are affected by vision impairment and Overdale's William Knott Child Development and Therapy Centre which provides speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
