A charity which gives injured members of the armed forces free holidays in Jersey has been nominated for an award.

Holidays for Heroes Jersey are finalists in the U.K. Soldiering On Awards.

The charity which provides a week's holiday in Jersey for any past or present service members with both mental and physical injuries, was founded in August 2008 by Dawn and Richard Woodhouse.

They have provided over 2,600 holidays across the island since the charity was formed.
