Pride of Britain Fundraiser Finalist: Richard Woodhouse

Today we meet our third finalist for the regional Pride of Britain Award.

In 2008 Richard Woodhouse set up the charity Holidays for Heroes Jersey with his wife Dawn.

Since then they have given holidays to 2200 veterans and servicemen.

Providing holidays in the island costs money, and Holidays for Heroes has spent £1.5 million on them in the last eight years. £200,000 of that is in the last year alone.

Richard, as the face of the committee, has been at the helm of the charities fundraising events to raise that cash.
