Coronavirus hotline for islanders who think they are infected

Islanders in Jersey who are worried they might have Coronavirus can call a new hotline.

The number is (01534) 445566.

Anyone who develops a fever, cough or has difficulty breathing within 14 days of travelling from a country affected by the virus can call for help and to arrange testing.

The helpline is open between 8am and 11pm and anyone who calls outside those hours, or while the line is busy, can leave a message and will be called back.

People are also being reminded to self-isolate and not go to hospital or their GP unannounced.

Anyone arriving in Jersey from the countries listed below should self-isolate for 14 days after their arrival, whether or not they have symptoms.

  • Thailand

  • Japan

  • Republic of Korea

  • Hong Kong

  • Taiwan

  • Singapore

  • Malaysia

  • Macau

People who have travelled from those places and feel very unwell, should call an ambulance and state their travel history.
