All you need to know: Travelling through Channel Islands airports this Christmas
People travelling through Jersey and Guernsey's Airports are being reminded to put wrapped presents in their hold luggage.
More than 34,000 passengers are expected to travel through Jersey's airport in the five day run to up to Christmas Day, this an additional 7,000 on the same time last year.
Monday 23 December is expected to be the busiest day with 8,100 passengers travelling in and out of the island.
Ports of Jersey says it is issuing seasonal advice to passengers as a guide to help make people's journeys through the airport as stress-free as possible.
Here is some information to help your journey be as smooth as possible:
Wrapped presents must be put into checked-in luggage and any gifts in hand baggage must not be wrapped as they will be searched.
Liquids including perfumes, pastes, gels, jams, preserves (e.g. ‘Black Butter’), dairy products, lotions and snow globes must be carried as part of checked-in luggage.
Liquids that measure less than 100ml are allowed in hand-luggage, but must be placed in a single, clear resealable bag. They must be placed in a tray at security where they could be checked in a liquid testing process.
No home-made crackers, ‘Party Poppers’ or any other types of explosive devices are allowed in carry-on luggage or placed in the hold by any airline.
Passengers should check their airline’s weight allowance for check-in baggage and the size requirements for any hand-luggage, to avoid additional charges.

The lanyards and pins can be collected, at no charge, from the Special Assistance Desk in the Departures Terminal.

Passengers can click on the Twitter logo next to the flight information on the Jersey Airport website to get up-to-date information about their flight.
By clicking the Twitter icon it will automatically create a tweet to the @JerFlights Twitter account. People will then receive tweets with up-to-date details of their flight, gate number and arrival and departure time.
The service can only be used for same day travel.
