Jersey Airport will be adopting a scheme to offer help and support to travellers with "hidden" disabilities, starting next week.

Passengers will be offered lanyards and pin badges to show that they may have hidden conditions like autism, hearing problems and epilepsy.

Airport staff have been trained to offer help to adults and children who may need additional time or consideration whilst travelling.

The same scheme was introduced at Guernsey Airport last year.

The lanyards and pins are free and can be collected from the Special Assistance Desk in the departures terminal.

Jersey Airport is reminding passengers that special assistance, such as wheelchairs, still need to pre-booked before travel.
