Jersey Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade postponed

Jersey's Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade has been postponed.

It was due to take place at the Waterfront in St Helier this evening, but has been called off because of the strong winds that have been forecast.

The event has been running for over 13 years, and sees the floats from the summer parade given a festive makeover. This year was due to feature 28 floats - the largest number of entries ever seen.

It will now take place next Sunday (15 December) from 4:45pm instead.

Earlier this year, the Moonlight Parade was also affected by the weather conditions, causing organisers to cancel the fireworks display.
