A strategy on how Jersey will become carbon neutral by 2030 will be published by the end of the year, according to a new report.

It comes after the States Assembly's decision to declare a climate emergency.

Politicians voted by 40 votes to one to declare the emergency and commit to making the island carbon neutral over the next 11 years.

The decision came after weeks of protests in the Royal Square by the island branch of the Extinction Rebellion climate change group which is demanding governments take more urgent action.

The carbon neutral strategy will be lodged in the States Assembly in December.
