As part of Durrell's 60th anniversary, 44 sculptures of young gorillas will be unveiled today.

The mini gorillas will be placed across Jersey in indoor locations and people will be available to visit them from next week, Tuesday 9 July.

The sculptures arrived as blank canvases in the island in March, as part of the charity's Go Wild Gorillas project. They have since been designed and decorated by schools and community groups.

They will form part of a larger project which includes 40 life-size gorilla statues which will be placed in outdoor locations in the island.
