Could Sark be left in the dark?
Sark Electricity says it will cut off supplies by the end of the month unless it receives financial support from the island's government.
The family run company called for a £250,000 grant earlier this year, saying that without funding, it may be forced to close.
It reported a financial loss of £80,000 over the past four months as a new law meant they had to drop their charge from 66p per unit to 52p.
But since then the problems have not been resolved.
Sark Electricity has been providing the island's power since 1947 and has never before received any assistance or subsidy from the government.
