Jersey's Turner going into Super League Triathlon Malta with 'open mind'
Jersey's Ollie Turner says he is approaching the next leg of the Super League Triathlon series with an "open mind".
He is in Malta this weekend for the second event of the season after qualifying by earning a 'golden ticket' at SLT Jersey last month.
The 19-year-old will also compete in Mallorca in November and Singapore next February as he tests himself against some of the best triathletes in the world.
This race weekend begins on Friday with an individual swim time trial to determine positioning for Sunday's 'Equalizer' format.
On Saturday, the 'Eliminator' event will see the top athletes tackle three rotations of swim-bike-run with the field cut to 15 and then 10 for the final round.
Super League Triathlon, which aims to revolutionise the sport, is in its first full season after debuting with two test events in 2017, including one in Jersey.
