The Jersey Lifeboat Association's first all-weather boat has arrived in the island.

The Sir Max Aitken III arrived from Great Yarmouth yesterday.

The boat still requires some work and the JLA say they expect to be in service by the end of the year.

The JLA was set up following a dispute between the RNLI.

It is largely made up of the former St Helier crew who were stood down last year.
