RNLI and St Helier Lifeboat Crew Dispute

Temporary cover has been in place since the RNLI closed the St Helier station at the end of 2017.

It comes after the crew split from the charity.

The charity say they hope to see the boat back in full service with a new crew by the end of March.

Meanwhile an independent lifeboat service is in the process of being set up.

RNLI remove St Helier Lifeboat from Jersey

The RNLI have uploaded video footage to their website of the St Helier Lifeboat being removed from its former berth in Jersey.

The George Sullivan left the island at around 10:20am and is currently heading to Poole.
