Man injured in industrial accident dies

A man has died after an industrial accident on the Bridge in Guernsey.

Barry Challen who was aged 50, was injured on Sunday 20th May and passed away at hospital four days later.

Guernsey Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and an inquest into the death is to be held in due course.

In a statement following Mr Challen's death, the force said:

The Health and Safety Executive has said they cannot comment further on the ongoing investigation.
