A charitable foundation has been set up in memory of Guernsey woman Georgie Le Prevost, who was killed with her partner in a car crash last year.

The aim of the Smile for Georgie Foundation is to make a difference in Guernsey through carrying out small acts of kindness.

One of the charity’s first events involves a boat trip to Herm in June for up to 100 children. It's hoped that this will become an annual fixture.

Georgie’s father, Andre, said that his wife, Jenny and daughter, Annie, had been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of Guernsey people when they braved a charity tandem parachute jump with Jersey Skydive. It prompted them to do something more permanent in Georgie’s memory.

The Foundation was officially registered on the 31st January.
