Couple killed in Guernsey crash

Guernsey police are continuing their investigation into a car crash which killed two islanders.

27-year-old Stuart Moorat and 25-year-old Georgina Le Prevost died in the collision on the Perelle coast road on Friday night.

Inquest opens into death of islanders killed in coast road crash

An inquest is due to open later into the deaths of two islanders, killed in a crash on Perelle Coast Road last month.

25-year-old Georgina Le Prevost and Stuart Moorat, 27, were travelling back from a wedding reception when their car overturned. Both died at the scene.

Post-mortem examinations have been carried out on the bodies, with Guernsey Police saying the findings will form part of the inquest.

The couple had attended a wedding reception at Cobo Bay Hotel.

A photograph of two islanders, who were killed in a car crash in Guernsey on Friday night, has been release by their families.

27-year-old Stuart Moorat and 25-year-old Georgina Le Prevost died in a collision on the Perelle coast road.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision and are appealing for information from anyone who saw the couple at a wedding reception they had attended that evening.

Police enquiries are ongoing and we would again ask that anyone who saw the couple at a wedding reception on Friday evening, and in particular anyone who saw them leave, contact Sergeant Tom Marshall on 725111.

The two people killed in a road collision in Guernsey last night have been identified as 27-year-old Stuart Moorat and 25-year-old Georgina Le Prevost.

It is believed they attended a wedding dance before the crash which occurred on the Perelle coast road at 11pm.

Police are carrying out an investigation into the causes of the incident and are asking anyone with information to call 725111.

Post mortem examinations will be carried out tomorrow and an inquest will be held in due course, according to Police.

Guernsey Police are investigating after two people died in a road collision last night.

A 27 year-old man and 25 year-old woman died at the scene of the crash, which took place at around 11pm on the Perelle coast road, Rue du Catioroc.

Police investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.

They say no other people or vehicles are thought to be involved.

The identity of the deceased will not be confirmed until all family members have been notified. Road traffic collision investigators are continuing their enquiries to determine the circumstances leading to the RTC. No other people or vehicles are thought to be involved at this stage. Post mortems will be carried out tomorrow and an inquest will be held in due course.
