Skeletal remains confirmed as missing man Mikus Alps
Guernsey Police have confirmed the identity of the body found at Petit Bot on the 8th January is Mikus Alps.
Mr Alps was the owner of the car which was found burnt-out and with human remains inside.
Forensic examination of DNA samples from the car was used to confirm Mr Alps' identity.
Guernsey Police Chief Officer, Patrick Rice, says the cause of death is still unknown.
A letter handed in to Police HQ, thought to be from Mr Alps, was described by Mr Rice as "sombre and reflective".
