Skateboarders in Jersey concerned skate park will be closed for good
Skateboarders in Jersey are concerned that their access to the harbour skate park will be denied for good.
The skate park at the harbour has been closed temporarily over safety concerns.
The closure of the park means skateboarders in St Helier are left with nowhere to skate in town.
It is situated on land owned by the Ports of Jersey, who say there has been an increasing number of incidents, including concrete blocks being thrown into the marina.
They are working with the government to find a long-term solution and have pledged £50,000 to relocate the skate park somewhere more suitable.
