A survivor's story: 'nobody will ever believe you'

Abuse survivor, Jean Neil, was told she would have her tongue cut off if she ever told anyone what happened at Grouville Home For Girls, where she lived in fear from the age of six.

Jean says sexual, physical and emotional abuse was common in the home and she has long since questioned why there was no intervention from authorities.

Her evidence was used by the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry, which has today published its conclusions following a three year investigation.
