Jersey politicians to discuss RNLI dispute

Jersey politicians will raise their concerns about the ongoing dispute between the RNLI and former volunteers in the States sitting today.

25 crew members have resigned in protest of the sacking of Coxwain Andy Hibbs.

The charity claims he breached their code of conduct.

At the sitting today, Senator Sarah Ferguson will be among those members set to ask questions, requesting a complete update on the current situation.

A UK relief crew has been sent to cover the island while disciplinary proceedings against Andy Hibbs take place.

The Assistant Chief Minister has asked for all 25 members of the crew to return, "while the dispute is resolved".
