Jersey's Chief Minister delegates Senator Ozouf's responsibilities

Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst

Jersey's Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, has delegated the responsibilities of his former Assistant Chief Minister.

It follows Senator Philip Ozouf’s decision to step down from his position, after public outcry over the Jersey Innovation Fund.

The Chief Minister will now take day to day responsibility for financial services.

Deputy Scott Wickenden will take on responsibility for Digital Jersey, adding it to his existing responsibility for the e-government programme.

Meanwhile, Senator Paul Routier will add competition and innovation policy to his current remit of overseeing social policy.

This includes responsibility for the intellectual property framework, broadcasting and electronic communications, Freedom of Information and Data Protection, as well as related legislation and policy matters.
