Aurigny: No confidence vote "disappointing" and "unjustified"
Airline Aurigny has hit back at the no confidence vote passed by Alderney States last night, calling it "unjustified" and "disappointing".
The company added the move was "inappropriate", given the timing of a review process into the airline.
Politician Steve Roberts brought the vote of no confidence to the States, because of concerns over the number of aircraft the airline has, fare prices and the announcement it was to make a £4.5m loss for 2016.
Nine voted in favour of the move, with one abstaining.
After facing calls to resign, Aurigny's management say they remain "absolutely committed to providing Alderney with a safe and efficient air service, which benefits both islanders and visitors."
