Islanders go to the polls in Vale by-election

Islanders in Guernsey go to the polls today in the Vale by-election.

Voting starts at 8 am this morning and closes at 8 pm.

The by-election was caused by the death of Deputy Dave Jones in July.

He was one of Guernsey's longest serving politicians and was best known for being the Housing Minister for 12 years.

Votes can be cast at the parish's Douzaine Room and Scouts headquarters.
