Independent psychiatric report due in Sarah Groves murder trial
An independent psychiatric report of Richard De Wit, accused of murdering Guernsey woman Sarah Groves, is expected to be submitted to a court in India today.
Dutchman De Wit was classed as unfit to stand trial by two Dutch experts in a review commissioned by the Dutch government.
The court holding the trial in India then requested an independent review into De Wit's mental health.
The Dutch report claims he suffers from a 'long-term and chronic psychotic disorder within the schizophrenia spectrum' and says he is convinced he is being poisoned.
24-year-old Sarah Groves was found dead on a houseboat in Kashmir in 2013.
