Funding announced for memorial to Tunisia victims

The Prime Minister has announced funding will be made available for a memorial dedicated to the victims of last week’s terrorist attack in Tunisia and a separate site of remembrance for all UK nationals who have been killed in terrorist atrocities overseas.

Thirty-eight people - including 30 Britons - were killed when gunman Seifeddine Rezgui opened fire in the resort of Sousse.

Employees pay warm tributes to John Stollery

Employees have today paid warm tributes to John Stollery in his old workplace.

Condolence books have also been placed in Nottinghamshire County Council locations so other tributes can be left.

Condolence books have been placed in Nottinghamshire County Council locations, so tributes can be left for John Stollery.

The 58-year-old social worker was killed in the Tunisia terror attack.

It is hard to summarise what kind of person John was, he was a dedicated social worker and was known to fight hard for the children and young people he supported.

"Many of his young people recognised how hard he worked for them and knew that they could rely and depend upon him at any time.

John had worked at Nottinghamshire County Council for the past 33 years and for the last 16 years, was dedicated to working with children in care.
