University pays tribute to plane crash victim
Rebecca Newton, who died when the light aircraft she was flying in came down in Leicestershire, has been described today as "promising" and "popular" by her tutor at Brunel University.
The 21-year-old from Gunthorpe in Nottinghamshire had been due to return to university to complete the final year of her BSc Biomedical Sciences degree next month.
Inquest opened into Leicestershire plane crash deaths
An inquest has been opened into the death of a father and daughter who died after their light aircraft crashed into a field in Leicestershire.
Leicestershire Police were called to a field near Wymeswold on August 21.
The inquest heard that David Newton, and his daughter Rebecca, both from Nottinghamshire, were formally identified by their dental records.
The inquests were adjourned until post-mortem examinations and an investigation by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch are complete.

Tragic plane crash father and daughter named
Two people killed in a plane crash in Leicestershire have today been named locally as 56-year-old David Newton and his daughter Rebecca, who was 21.
The pair, from Nottingham, were travelling in a light aircraft over Wymeswold on Wednesday evening when it crashed into farmland shortly before 8pm.
Eye-witnesses at the time said the wreckage was so bad, they initially could not recognise it as a plane.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch is continuing investigations into what may have caused the crash.

The light aircraft came down in a field near Wymeswold on Wednesday evening.
Officers say the man in his 50s and woman in her 20s, were from the Nottingham area.

First man on site says plane was unrecognisable
The man who was first on the scene at the crash site near Wymeswold has said he could not tell the wreckage was that of a plane.
Speaking to ITV News Central, Billy Dunne said a young man came running to him, urging him to come to a field where something had happened.
He then ran to the site and saw the wreckage, which he says was so bad he could not recognise it as a plane.
Airfield owner: plane flew 'two or three times a week'
ITV News Central have spoken to the owner of the farm where the plane took off.
William Turner, of King's Farm in Wymeswold, said the plane flew out of his farm two or three times a week.
Investigations at the site are ongoing.
