Stafford Hospital inquiry chairman to meet families of victims
The chairman of the report into "failings" at Stafford Hospital is to meet families of some of the victims who died.
Robert Francis QC will be in Stafford later today to meet with relatives.
Yesterday's public inquiry report highlighted the "appalling suffering" of patients at the hospital between 2005 and 2009.
Victim's father: 'Sir David Nicholson's job is untenable'
Following the publication of the Francis Report yesterday which highlighted the "unnecessary suffering" of patients at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, NHS chief Sir David Nicholson remains in his role today.
Victims' families have called for him to step down over the Stafford Hospital scandal, despite Sir David saying he is "not ashamed" of being in his job.
Frank and Janet Robinson, whose son John who died at Stafford hospital seven years ago, spoke to ITV Daybreak.
Frank said: "[Sir David] presided over a failing trust, no one has been able to account for this... I was always told the 'buck stops at the top'."

In the scathing report Robert Francis QC attacked local health authorities and the trust board but he refused to blame any individual for failures at the trust.
However, the families of victims are calling for "accountability" and for the NHS Commissioning Board chief executive Sir David Nicholson to resign over the scandal.

Relative recalls 'constant screaming' on mother's ward
Julie Bailey started the campaign group Cure the NHS after witnessing the poor treatment of her mother, Bella Bailey, and other patients on her ward at Stafford Hospital.
She told ITV News' Rupert Evelyn that her family kept a 24-hour vigil around her mother's bed because they were too scared to leave her.

It is being described as 'the darkest day in the history of the NHS', as today the long-awaited report into failings at Stafford hospital is finally published.
Eighty-six-year-old Joyce Williams was one of the victims at Stafford hospital, her daughter Castell spoke to ITV Daybreak, who said that her mother was not properly treated whilst in hospital care.
She added that she did not know at the time it was due to neglect of care.
