Teen girl dies after being in collision with a bus in Birmingham
A 15-year-old girl has died after being in collision with a bus in Birmingham.
The incident happened in Sheaf Lane in Sheldon shortly before 3pm on Saturday (March 18).Ambulance, fire and police crews rushed to the scene, including an air ambulance, and despite the girl being taken to hospital, nothing could be done to save her.
The bus driver is said to be helping police with its enquiries as it investigates what happened.National Express West Midlands said it was giving "every assistance" to West Midlands Police's investigation.
A spokeswoman for the bus firm said: “A National Express West Midlands bus was involved in an incident on Sheaf Lane in Sheldon on Saturday (March 18).
"Our thoughts remain with those involved and with their loved ones."Emergency services attended the scene and we will continue to give the police every assistance as they continue their investigation into what happened."Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
