People across the Midlands took part in clap for carers last night (14 May).

Here's a round-up of how the region's residents celebrated our carers last night.

Dudley:

Ravi Bakshi and Rob Harris performed the Queen classic 'We Will Rock You' to entertain neighbours and as a tribute to the NHS as part of a musical collaboration of dhol and guitar.

Stoke-on-Trent:

Lily-Ann and Leon Stevens clapped for carers and NHS workers in Bucknall.

Their mum, Natalie Stevens, says that they were particularly clapping for NHS staff as their granddad was in hospital for ten days fighting Covid-19.

She says he is now back at home, and back to full health.

Kingston Fire Station:

This was the spectacular scene at Kington fire station in Herefordshire where fire crews created a rainbow with some clever positioning of a water hose.

Repton:

These boys in the Derbyshire village of Repton treated their neighbours to a rendition of the Beatles hit 'Love is all you need.'

Halesowen:

Every Thursday Shane Brettle claps for the NHS and shows his support by signing some songs.
