Mass round of applause for NHS and care workers across the Midlands

The Clap For Carers initiative saw families from thousands of roads in our region, applaud from their doorsteps and front gardens, windows and balconies.

As well as people joining in the effort, in their own homes, many people working in the emergency services joined in too.

Other organisations including our football teams found ways to show their support too.

Many buildings also lit up blue to show their support including the Council House in Nottingham
