10-year-old makes face masks and gets thousands of orders
A 10-year-old is making face masks for people while she's not at school during the pandemic.
Millie Milburn started making masks as part of a school project, and after her Mum, Jo, who owns a bridal shop in Birmingham, took her home some fabric scraps to keep her occupied.
Jo usually makes bespoke bridal gowns, but now the shop is closed, she has started a new business - Millie's Masks - to sell the masks that her daughter designed, while maintaining social distancing measures in the factory.
They're now working on fulfilling more than 4,500 masks, and as a result of the demand, four part-time staff from the bridal shop have been able to come out of furlough and start earning again.
20% of profits from the masks is being donated to charities helping local communities during the pandemic, including local food banks.
Millie says that her masks aren't medical or surgical graded and don't offer any special protection against coronavirus.
However, people are now being advised to wear face coverings while at the shops or on public transport to help limit the spread of coronavirus - and other people in the Midlands are already getting creative and making them.
Millie is already in a rock band called Haq123, and has plans for a career in music, or maybe football - but at the moment she's adding a touch of colour to people's lives, thanks to the "funky" masks she creates.
