A school in Birmingham have created an original song during coronavirus lockdown.

The Blue Coat School, which has also taken part in a sewing project to help NHS staff, have created the song to "bring some joy" and spread "a message of hope" during lockdown.

The song - called 'Looking To The Rainbow' - was written by the school's Chaplain, Becky Drake, and the music and video editing was arranged by Mr Nicklin, who is the school's Director of Music. The artwork of the rainbow used at the end of the video was drawn by 3-year-old Milo.

'Looking To The Rainbow' was sung by Becky Drake and by pupils at the school, who are part of the Chapel Choir, all from their homes.

Another school, All Saints Academy, has already recorded their own version of the song and The Blue Coat School's original version was also shown to launch the Church of England's National Faith at Home campaign.

A school in Florida has also now said that they would like to get involved and record their own version of the song.
