Police are appealing for the help of the public to identify a man caught on CCTV after a 10-year-old boy was stabbed in Leicester.

The child was with his mother when he was approached by a man who stabbed him before running off from the scene.

It happened at around 5.20pm on Saturday afternoon (18th January) on Belper Street in the city.

The boy was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where his condition is described as non-life-threatening.
