Four kittens rescued from kitchen fire

Four kittens were rescued from a kitchen fire - which was started by an unattended incense burner.

Fire crews were called to a property in Balsall Heath, Birmingham yesterday (December 19) evening.

The felines had suffered smoke inhalation and were given oxygen by mask used for animals.

The fire service confirmed no one was injured during the blaze.

The kittens are now being looked after by the RSPCA until their owner is back on their feet.

They're urging the public to not leave burning items unattended.
