Black Friday sales to help disabled children
This Black Friday you can grab a bargain for as little as 50p from a Newlife store- and all of the profits will go towards helping disabled children.
The charity shop is known for selling brand new high street fashion items for low prices - and now the price tags are set to get even lower. Top retailers like River Island, Monsoon, White Company and Ted Baker donate their surplus stock to Newlife for the charity to sell at discounted prices.
Price tickets are split into different sections - £2.99, £4.99, £6.99, £8.99 and ticketed items which can be up to £100 for designer items worth hundreds of pounds.
These are the bargains you can pick up on Friday:
£2.99 items are being reduced to 50p
£4.99 items are being reduced to £2.99
£6.99 items are being reduced to £3.99
£8.99 items are being reduced to £4.99
10 per cent off all ticketed items
Profits made during the sales will go to providing of specialist equipment, such as wheelchairs, specialist beds and car seats, walking and standing frames and communication aids, for disabled and terminally ill, children.
The charity also campaigns for the health and welfare of disabled children.New data reveals the number of local authorities refusing to provide disabled children with specialist car seats ‘under any circumstance’, has dropped from 83% to to 50% since Newlife started directly challenging authorities a year ago.
Today, 105 councils say they will be able to provide specialist car seats if a need is identified including Birmingham City Council, Coventry City Council, Herefordshire Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Telford & Wrekin Council, City of Wolverhampton Council in the West Midlands.
Newlife Cannock will open at 7am on Black Friday (November 29) and will close at 9pm, while the Yardley store will open from 9.30am to 8pm.
