Police hunting for prisoner who escaped from hospital
Police are appealing for information to trace a missing prisoner who absconded from a hospital in Birmingham last night (4 November) where he was under guard.
30 year-old Robert Parton, a convicted robber, was receiving treatment at Heartlands Hospital where he threatened hospital staff before escaping.
The prisoner was last seen at around 11.20pm getting into a car heading towards Bordesley Green.
Detective Sergeant Tom Lyons, said: “We are urging the public to report sightings of Parton to us immediately.
“I would appeal directly to Parton to hand himself in directly and urge the public to not approach him as he is considered dangerous but to call 999 straight away with any information or sightings."
Parton is described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, large build, and bald. He also has links across Birmingham.
