Nottingham Forest donates 3,000 food parcels to homeless
Nottingham Forest have donated food parcels to a homeless charity after their game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Saturdays (October 26) match between Forest and Reading was postponed due to large areas of the pitch being in an 'unplayable condition'.
Just hours later the club's CFO Samantha Gordon, and Nottingham Forest Community Trust CEO Graham Morgan handed out food -parcels left over from the game - which included pasties and pies.
The food parcels were donated to Framework, a charity that helps homeless people in Nottingham.
The club then shared on Twitter that around 3,000 food parcels were handed out on Saturday (October 26) overall.
