Boy, 8, saves Christmas and birthday money to help homeless
An eight-year-old from Shrewsbury has been praised for saving money he received for Christmas and his birthday to help people sleeping rough.
Having seen how many people were out sleeping on the streets, Noah Payne saved up £70 to make 20 "blessing" bags to give to people who are homeless.
They contain useful items such as underwear, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, as well as bits of food and snacks.
He even added dog food to the bags, for those rough sleepers who have canine companions.
Noah, along with his parents Ben and Clare, handed the bags to the charity, The Shrewsbury Ark, which is a drop-in centre for homeless and vulnerable people in Shropshire.
He was helped by his parents and donations from people at his school to put the bags together.
The charity say they'll give the bags to service users, and will keep the family updated about the difference they make.
